Holiday Sanitation Schedule

The City of Lawrenceville Sanitation Department is closed on the following holidays:

New Year’s Day
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day

Service Adjustments on Holidays

For weeks containing a holiday, the delay of service will be as follows:

Trash & Recycling: Whatever day of the week the holiday falls on, that day and all subsequent days of that week will have recycling and trash pick up delayed by 1 day.
Large Item Pick-Up and Free Mulch will not take place on holidays that fall on a Friday.

Thanksgiving Holidays

If a customer’s regular collection day falls on Thursday of Thanksgiving week, their collection will occur one day earlier, on Wednesday of that same week.

Christmas Holidays

If a customer’s regular collection day falls on Christmas Eve, collection will occur on the weekday before Christmas Eve. If a customer’s regular collection day falls on Christmas Day, collection will occur on the weekday following Christmas Day.
