Treated water samples are collected at regular intervals daily by the plant operators at each treatment facility and analyzed for numerous parameters. The City uses chlorine for disinfection at both facilities and chlorine residuals are monitored and recorded daily.
Chlorine residual tests are also performed throughout the distribution system monthly to make sure a good residual is maintained throughout the system. A variety of other water quality tests are performed by the plant operators daily to ensure the best quality, best tasting water is delivered.
Additional water quality tests are performed quarterly, as required by Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
Consumer Confidence Report
The City publishes and distributes a Consumer Confidence Report annually, which contains important information about the quality of your drinking water. City of Lawrenceville’s water is tested for various organic and inorganic substances in strict adherence to State and Federal regulations and these results are included on the Consumer Confidence Report.
